Recipe for Tomato Rice
Ingredients:
1. Boiled Basmati rice – 2 Cups
2. White oil – 1/4 Cup
3. Ghee – 1 table spoon
4. Cloves- 4 pieces
5. Currypatta -7/8 pieces
6. Whole Black Stars – 1 tea spoon
7. Thin Onion slices – 3/4 Cups
8. Tomato paste or puree – 3/4 Cups
9. Khuskhus or Posto paste -3 table spoon
10.Slotted Green Chili – 4 pieces
11.Salt to taste
12.Black Mustard – 1 tea spoon
Method:
1. Heat oil and ghee
2. Add Cloves, mustard and Currypatta, fry for 1 minute.
3. Add onion slices fry till light brown.
4. Add tomato puree and salt.Stir for 2 minutes at low flame.
5. Add posta paste cook till oil floats, then add boiled rice ,mix well.
6. Add green chili ,and cook for another 2 minutes.
Tomato rice is ready.
